New York Minute Global Intensive and Exhibition was an investigation of new practices and innovation within media, design and communication. Twenty-four Masters students from the School of Media and Communication spent two weeks in New York, working out of four co-working spaces: ConArtist; Fueled; Makeshift Society; and MediaCenterNY .
The student project was to research and make a documentary of the ‘new’ in their field. This entailed meeting people who are influential within new communication practices.
The global intensive is a part of ongoing research into industry transformation, and what John Hagel and John Seely-Brown call The Big Shift.
